At three in the morning, our machines sell propane in ten countries, with nobody on site. Our software is what makes that possible.

About us

Vendanor develops, monitors and operates self-service solutions for propane and washer fluid. Around 1,100 machines are in operation in ten countries, around the clock.

We are 16 people in Stryn and build both the machine and the software. The team is small and close-knit, everyone is involved from idea to machine in the field, and people enjoy working here. We are growing fast, and that is why we need more people on the team.

The role

You own the architecture and let the AI tools do most of the writing. The job is to orchestrate, review, test and automate, and to see when something looks right but is not.

An important part is building out test automation against real hardware, so the code is verified before it reaches a machine in operation.

How we work

We build a lot ourselves, sometimes all the way from the circuit board, and always from the machine, through the cloud and out to the phone and the browser. With the tools we have today, that keeps getting easier and more natural. What lets us move fast is short feedback loops: small changes, automated tests and CI/CD that rolls out in minutes. Observability from machine to cloud shows what the code actually does in the field, not just what we expected it to do. AI agents are part of every step, and when something goes wrong, we improve the system, not just the bug. We are agnostic about tools and languages, and choose what is best tomorrow.

You

  • You can code, and could write every line yourself if it came to that, but see that this is no longer the job.
  • You are critical and creative, and curious about what the tools make possible now.
  • You speak up when you think we should do something differently.

Experience is nice. Curiosity matters more. The stack is broad and varied, so some of it you will know already, and some of it will be completely new.

We offer

  • An engaged team where people enjoy their work, and where you have real influence from the first week.
  • A product you can touch, and see your code deliver.
  • Freedom to use AI to the full.
  • Stryn, with fjord and mountains on the doorstep. Hybrid is something we work out once you know the product and the team inside out.

How to apply

Send your CV and a few lines about something you have built with AI tools, by November 22, 2026. A link says more than a long cover letter.
